Cypress-area senior citizens will soon have a place to hang out and call their own.
The Vaughn Gage Senior Activity Center is scheduled to open next month during the first week of June at its location currently under construction at 11020 Saathoff Road, in Cypress.
This first of its kind in Cy-Fair, 5,000-square-foot center will feature state of the art recreation and meeting rooms, a kitchen and offices. Daily activities will include free counseling, job training, educational, and prayer services, along with a calendar of fun activities.
They will also provide senior day care so you can drop off your loved one and let him or her spend the day meeting new friends and enjoying fun activities while you complete your daily activities.
In February the Senior Citizens Bureau, a national non-profit organization specializing in senior citizen education and support, broke ground on the site to begin construction.
