Lone Star College - CyFair is hosting “Passport to Retirement” courses in September and October. Attendees can choose from classes held two nights a week from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Monday classes begin September 12, and go through October 3. Wednesday classes start September 14, and end October 5.

According to Cypress Woods FFA chapter advisors Roddy Parisher and John Allbritton, twelve of their FFA students are now recipients of the coveted “Lone Star FFA Degree” designation. Lone Star FFA Degree, the highest degree bestowed by the Texas FFA, was awarded to these stellar students over the summer at the 83rd Annual Texas FFA Convention held in Lubbock.

The twelve Cy-Woods recipients are among 1,300 other FFA members, chosen from more than 10,000 participants, and include Lauren Rhodes, Alyssa Potton, Lindsay Rauder, Amanda Leal, Brittanie Bosquez, Lacey Pallas, Tiffany Simmons, Ashley Abbott, Colin Cesnik, Rider Combs, Dalton Barnett and Blaine Gest.
